Adrienne Shimonishi Elkind is Of Counsel to the firm, with legal experience extending across commercial leasing, real estate, construction, business, banking, and finance.  She employs her diverse background and collaborative style to guide clients around impasses, and achieve creative solutions and effective outcomes.

She has particular depth in helping clients execute a range of leasing and licensing transactions, including disputes.  Both companies and individuals look to her for guidance with development and project financing, buying and selling properties, encroachment and easement issues, and other matters.  Increasingly, due to the firm’s strong experience in renewable energy development, Adrienne has been involved in the real estate dimensions of such initiatives.

A member of the Hawaii State Bar Association and the American Bar Association, Adrienne was an attorney with the Honolulu law firms of Goodsill Anderson Quinn & Stifel and Schlack Ito prior to joining Yamamoto Caliboso.

Adrienne earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science Cum Laude at the University of California San Diego, minoring in Law and Society and Japanese Studies.  She received her Juris Doctor degree from the USC Gould School of Law.

Adrienne volunteers for the ’Iolani Community Action Network.  She also served as President of the ’Iolani Alumni Association and as the Alumni Representative on the Board of Governors for ’Iolani School.
