Associate Jesse J. Maeda joined the firm in 2024 as an Associate and practices in the areas of corporate and business, real estate, health care, and energy law. Jesse was previously an associate at a local Honolulu firm where he represented clients on a range of insurance defense matters including premises liability, products liability including asbestos/mesothelioma, motor vehicle collisions, medical malpractice, and worker’s compensation. Prior to becoming an attorney, Jesse worked in the restaurant industry for over a decade as the general manager for two different award-winning restaurants. Jesse serves the Hawaii community as a volunteer for Paws of Hawaii where he cares for, trains, and raises dogs who have often been abandoned or neglected until they are healthy enough to be adopted out to permanent families. Jesse also serves his community as a content moderator for Stolen Stuff Hawaii, an online organization dedicated to reporting and preventing local crimes. Jesse is licensed to practice in the State of Hawaii. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Hawaii and earned his Juris Doctor degree from Willamette University college of Law, graduating cum laude. While at Willamette he served as the Law Review Note and Comment Editor, moot court Board member, as well as serving the law school in the appointed positions of Admissions Ambassador, Academic Excellence Fellow, and as one of two student members of the Honor Code Committee.
