Since 2000, Laura Anderson has focused her practice on a broad range of health care law.  Prior to entering law school, she practiced pharmacy and had substantial experience in health care management. She served as law clerk to the Hon. Steven H. Levinson of the Hawaii Supreme Court from 1997-1999.  She has presented various training events on such topics as HIPAA, Federal Anti-Kickback and Stark Law, and other compliance and regulatory requirements and risk management. Ms. Anderson provides advice and counsel on health care regulatory compliance to hospitals, federally qualified health centers, physician group practices and pharmacies in Hawaii on such topics as 

• HIPAA Privacy and Security Regulations; 
• Regulation and reimbursements of federally qualified health centers;
• Risk Management;
• No Surprises Act;
• Federal Anti-Kickback and Stark Law;
• Medicare and Medicaid;
• Insurance billing issues; and 
• Hawaii’s Certificate of Need program.
